Gave a talk about Videojournalism this week to the students at the Metropolitan University,London. they’re doing BA Hons in Journalism and Fashion Marketing and Journalism.
We talked about the need for being multi-skilled and I shared some of my career moments in the field as a VJ.
The students kindly added their comments in their diaries- forwarded to me by their tutor Associate Prof Victoria Neumark- my friend.

“Vivien Morgan who has spent all her career in television doing video journalism, she was telling us her brave experiences in Romania or Tahiti and was really inspiring”

“The guest speaker was great, especially when she shared her personal stories about being arrested while trying to get the material.”

“At the end we had a guest speaker who told us about her work, for example in Romania and Vietnam, which was extremely interesting.”

“We then had a guest speaker called Vivien who proceeded to inform us about her career in video journalism, explaining the importance of it across all fields of media. Great session.”

“I also enjoyed listening to Vivien Morgan talk, I think she had some really interesting stories to tell.”

I wish them all success in their future careers- maybe some even as VJs.
